The “Canadian Carp Club” will organize carp only shore based tournaments across Ontario. CCC will promote fishing for carp as a great opportunity for anglers of all ages including young Canadians, the future of angling in Canada. We will popularize European methods and techniques and promote Shimano carp gear.

All tournaments will be run us a “catch and release” only.

This club will work closely with Match Angling Club of Ontario and will run carp tournaments for MACO. Results from CCC tournaments will count towards Angler of the Year MACO annual classification, which will make CCC tournaments very interesting for MACO members.

The reason behind the decision to create this club is to specifically target carp anglers in Ontario, and eventually in all of Canada in the future. We want to put carp fishing in Ontario and Canada on a new higher level. Our plan is to organize European style carp only tournaments using modern tackle.

I am certain that this new initiative will promote carp fishing in general and help the environment with “catch and release” only fishing.
