This year’s tournament will be held at Pier 8 in Hamilton, the same location as last year.

This venue allows the use of different techniques, so any angler can use his favorite method of catching carp. Float rigs, feeder, etc.

During the Awards Ceremony, contestants will enjoy a BBQ, share their fishing stories, and a Marukyu Representative will present their products. Marukyu products will donate a lot of prizes for the contestants.

There will be a buy/sell/exchange market organized for the tournament contestants. Bring your fishing and camping tackle to sell or swap. It can be new or old. Bring some cash to replenish your stock. Check what others have and perhaps you will find a carp gadget that you have been looking for. If this new exchange event is well received by anglers we will continue organizing it with future Canadian Carp Club tournaments.

For this tournament, assistance with landing the fish will be allowed. Fishing at Pier 8 requires a very long landing net and help from another person may be required. Please be prepared and have your landing net handle length extended.

Keepnet and carp sacks will need long ropes to keep fish in the water.

Unhooking mats are recommended.
